Service Design | Workforce Intelligence Dashboard

As part of a workforce transformation initiative within a large federal government agency, I supported the design and research for a new Manager's Dashboard a centralised, evidence-based platform designed to empower senior and executive-level leaders with the real-time workforce insights needed to manage people, capability, and risk more effectively.

The dashboard replaced legacy HR reporting with a dynamic, user-friendly interface providing live access to critical workforce data including classification, leave liabilities, temporary performance arrangements, and overtime while also delivering automated, actionable insights and supporting First Nations workforce reporting aligned with Closing the Gap priorities.

I led rapid discovery alongside the research team, conducting one-on-one interviews with senior stakeholders across leadership, HR, and product ownership functions. Through this research, we surfaced key pain points, captured future-state requirements, and refined an indicative service blueprint. These insights directly shaped the dashboard's information hierarchy ensuring the right data reached the right people at the right time, and that the overall experience felt intuitive and strategically useful rather than operationally burdensome.

This project demonstrated the impact of embedding user research early in data and analytics initiatives translating complex workforce information into experiences that genuinely support leadership decision-making.
